The 5 Best Video Conferencing Tools for Web Professionals

  1. Zoom 01:29
    • This is David and Tim’s favorite new video conferencing tool!
    • It has paid and free versions and works fantastic for calls with two people as well as large groups of people.
    • One of the greatest benefits of using Zoom is that it doesn’t hog your computer resources. You can use Zoom on top of all of your normal applications and it won’t slow down your computer.
  2. Meet 05:37
    • This is basically a more dependable version of Google Hangouts.
    • It has more professional features that you can use for your business, such as screen sharing.
    • The main benefit of this tool is that it is part of the Gsuite apps. So if you use Gsuite on a regular basis, this tool will be much more convenient for you.
  3. Skype 07:47
    • Skype is free and one of the most popular video conferencing tools, so it will be easiest to connect with others using this tool.
    • However, Skype is a huge resource hog. As soon as you start using it, your computer’s fan will kick in and everything will start running very slow.
  4. Slack 10:21
    • Slack is an incredible communication tool that now has the ability for video conferences.
    • Though it’s great for uploading files, chatting with your team, and integrating with apps, it’s not great for video conferencing because it uses up a lot of your computer resources.
    • Hopefully, this tool will get better with time because it would be super convenient to use within Slack.
  5. Hangouts 12:24
    • Google Hangouts has been around for a long time.
    • There’s a lot you can do with it as far as integrations and such.
    • It’s free and great to use for personal use, but probably not the best option for your business just because the quality and reliability is not as great as some of the other tools mentioned.
